I am not sure if the kids agree, but this is probably the most delicious Tasty recipe we have made, in my opinion. This is the only one, at least, that I would make a second time. Our cookies came out really big and spread quite a bit, but the caramel center was delicious!
Predictions:
Chase - I picked this recipe because it had 100% approval rating on Tasty.
Max - I think it will be the best thing that I have ever tasted. I think it is going to be really good but I am not sure.
Aven - I think that it is going to be 95% good.
Final Results:
Aven - Mmmmmm! Yum!
Chase - Be warned - the caramel comes out hot. Save yourself! This is the best thing so far.
Max - It was the best thing that has ever gone down my throat. It was the BOSS!
After the mistake of the queso ring, Aven steered us back to a sure winner - ice cream cone cup cakes. We have found that Tasty recipes work best when the final product is either deep fried or full of sugar.
Predictions:
Aven - I think it is going to be interesting tasting.
Max - I think it is going to be 50 - 50, good and bad.
Chase - It looks disgusting on the video.
We definitely decided to go big on the decorations, adding frosting, cherries, whipped cream, sprinkles and fudge!
Final Results:
Chase - I did not like that it was made with a cone.
Max - It was really foamy and the frosting wasn't good.
Aven - It was not the best thing. I thought the it was too fudge-y.
The Queso Hash Brown Breakfast Ring taught us an important lesson - sometimes things are not as good as they seem when produced and edited on high quality video; sometimes, in reality, they are just plain disgusting.
Predictions:
Aven - I think it is going to be so good.
Chase - I think it is going to be disgusting.
Max - I think it is going to be really, really good.
Final Results:
Aven - YUCK!!
Chase - Blech!
Max - It was the worst thing that has ever went down my throat.
(We ended up throwing it almost all away because we could not force ourselves to eat something so foul).
Predictions:
Aven: I think it would have been better if we made them in the square pan.
Chase: I think it is not going to be the best thing we make. But, is it going to be ranked in the middle between all our recipes.
Max: I think it is going to be good. And, I think it would be better if you did not let it cook and then you realized that you shouldn't have made it and we start all over with a new recipe.
Final thoughts:
Aven: Deliciously delicious. I tastes like fried dough and that is not a bad thing. It is a very good thing.
Chase: I was 100% right on my prediction - it is in the middle of all the things we made.
Max: I say it is great. It can't be beat. You can't make anything else - it is the best fried dough in the world. On a scale from 1-10, it was 1000.
Oreo Truffles
Predictions:
Aven: They are going to be the best thing that I have ever ate in my life.
Max: They are going to be the best thing in the world. I will be so happy and so yum-i-fied I will blast up to Pluto.
Chase: My prediction is: first of all, Pluto is not a planet right now. And, second of all, how would you blast up to space? But, I do agree with Max on one thing - they are going to be good...I am not going to blast up to space though.
Final thoughts:
Chase: I don't like the mint in the peppermint oreos. I don't think the mint goes well with it at first bite. Once you get used to it, it is better.
Aven: I was 100% right. I said it was going to be the best thing I have ever ate and it was.
Max: I don't think it was good enough to blast me to Pluto but it was still good enough to blast me into Uranus.
We went back to the fried meatball concept. And, it was a good thing!
Predictions:
Max: I think it will be very filling. The last time that I ate a meatball from Tasty, I had to lay on the couch for an hour.
Aven: I don't think it is going to be that good because I don't like cheesy breadsticks.
Chase: It is going to be good but not the best Tasty thing we have made so far.
Final results:
Aven: That was the best dinner I have had in a long time. It kinda felt like the video was challenging us but we nailed it.
Chase: That is the best Tasty food I have had so far. I agree with Max that the meatballs are a little bit more filling.
Max: It was really, really good but it was really hard to digest.
Kathy: I am so proud of our Tasty crew. This was awesome.
Dave: I thought it would be the same as the meatball ice cream cone but it was better. I think you can open a booth at the fair.
Brett: A new species of delicious comfort food!
One of Max's (and our family's) favorite people challenged him to a new Tasty recipe. We were happy to try it out....especially since Grandy was here to lead the way.
Predictions:
Aven: I think it will be really good.
Max: I think it is going to be amazing.
Chase: I think it is going to be the best in the world.

Chase: I think it is almost the best thing...but I think that cheesecake is a little better.
Max: I think it is supa-upa-wupa good! Because it is so yummy in your tummy.
Aven: Mmmmm, mmmmmm.
Dave: It is the best Tasty yet. The meatball was a 2, the cheesecake was a 4, and this is a 6.
